CMA – IMA’s Certification for Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business

IMA’s globally recognized CMA (Certified Management Accountant) program is a relevant assessment of advanced accounting and financial management knowledge in four critical areas:  financial planning, analysis, control, and decision support.

The CMA credential is the primary link between accounting career professionals and those organizations requiring the most proven, ethical and highly qualified finance talent.  CMA’s earn, on average, 21% more in total compensation compared to noncertified professionals.

CMA’s are professionals who work in business, across all areas of an organization, in decision support, planning, and control functions.  Their role is distinctly different than the responsibilities of public accounts.

CMA Exam Structure

The CMA exam consists of 10 content domains organized into two exam parts:

Part One: Financial Reporting, Planning, Performance, and Control

Part Two: Financial Decision Making
